Member Spotlight: Becky Harris

Becky Harris is the Director of Sales at Visit Hendricks County and is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing efforts to solicit and book group business and events, including
meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and weddings. She graduated cum laude from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma honorary society. Becky is a member of Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE), the Indiana Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (IMPI), and Minorities in Hospitality (MiH). She is past Vice-President of Indiana Foodways, a non-for-profit organization that promotes food culture in our state. Becky currently serves as President of Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, and is also a board member and Secretary of Sports Indiana. She’s a 2012 graduate of Leadership Hendricks County and a past recipient of Hendricks Regional Health’s Treat People Better Award for her work with Hendricks County food pantries. Becky and her husband, Brad live in Avon and are members of Avon United Methodist Church. They have two grown sons and three grandchildren.

Minorities in Hospitality (MiH) was established in 1998 and since then has provided an advocacy forum for minorities within the hospitality industry.
